Went camping Victoria Day weekend in May with some friends from school.
The nights we spent there were cold--sleepless nights ensued, despite the multiple layers I wore in my sleeping bag.
We did classic camping activities, like sitting around a campfire and making s'mores (also not so classic activities, like bringing instant noodles).
Woke up for the sunrise around 5 a.m., hurried to a lake we passed by on the way to our campsite in fear of missing the sun--only to be met with a cloudy sky.
The colours, nonetheless, did not disappoint and were a perfect backdrop for photos.
We waited in the wind for a while before the sun peaked out of the large cloud it hid behind. It was nice to be in the midst of the morning calm; the water moved slowly while the few of us threw rocks and enjoyed the comfortable silence (and chirping birds).
The spot we were at was a road that ran between the lake. It felt like a movie location.
Midnight stargazing.
Did some other things as well that were not pictured: hiking, beach, sitting around. Happy I went despite my questionable view on camping.
Edited in Lightroom with a vsco preset--must add that I love this one I used, it replicates the feelings of film so well.
